The sealers filmed at work in these videos are seen consistently DISOBEYING REGULATIONS FOR HUMANE KILLING - RESULTING IN HORRIFIC SUFFERING FOR THE DEFENSELESS SEALS! They are seen to club seals repeatedly (often striking and fracturing noses, orbits, trunks and throats!!) and then knowingly leaving them to suffer and die in agony! They move on to club another seal without checking corneal blink reflex and/ or to palpate skull to ensure unconsciousness. Seals are only stunned, regain consciousness and struggle to escape but are caught and clubbed again. One Seal has a steel hook rammed through its eye and is dragged, still conscious, struggling in excruciating pain! This is NOT reflex action ..swimming reflex. This seal is feeling the pain of the hook, and is struggling to save its life! A seal is shown wounded by multiple gunshots. It struggles in agony as it tries to escape. All studies confirm that at least 40% of the seals hunted with firearms are only wounded and then left to suffer before finally being clubbed to death." Gaffing conscious seals and skinning alive has been documented frequently. At least 10,000 seals are struck and lost to die helplessly alone in the ocean.
